IF (contrary to the comment by esteemed Colorado authority coga16, above, who should know) the Avs need a stopgap until the playoffs, wouldn't Sean Walker make more sense? He'd be cheaper to acquire, has another year left on his contract, has a lower cap hit than Klingberg 50% retained, is better defensively, and is a better fit all-around.

If that's his cost, then yes, I agree with you 100% he's the guy to get, but the Vancouver guys have him at a second and a prospect now because he leads the league in hits.
