Sanheim has arguably played the best out of all of these guys, including the Blues defensemen. I wouldn't hate having him on the Blues, he was my 2nd choice last year when it seemed he was on the market. Not sure what's going on with the scratch today, but I'm a little gunshy on his new contract that runs till he's 35, not really the kind of stuff I think the Blues need to be getting involved in when their window is closed.
I think if you're looking at a swap you have to look at either Provorov or DeAngelo (from a strictly hockey standpoint, not trying to get into their off-ice nonsense), if only because the Blues are likely going to be spending at least a year or two retooling. You could dump Krug/Faulk/Parayko and not deal with the potentially dicey back end of their deals while dealing with (possibly) worse performances from DeAngelo and Provorov, but then they're gone by the time you need their cap space to move back into contention. Provorov I think could also benefit (at least offensively) from a rush offense like the Blues play. Not sure how the Flyers feel about any of that though.
Should go without saying that there might be no contract worse in the league than Risto's, not sure there's another I would like to have less than his. Bobrovsky and Vlasic, maybe.
