You need to look up what the contract cap is. It doesn't matter if they are waivers exempt.

Yeah, I messed up when I called it roster spots. Teams are only allowed 50 players under contract at one time, this includes those in the minors and prospects. San Jose would need to send back almost an equal number of contracts to take this deal, so you'll get a flood of their least skilled AHL/ECHL players back to make this work.
