Description
Blues fans, how is this?

I’ve read that STL is getting calls on Parayko, and are likely to move one of their Top 4 D.

I’ve long said that Parayko is the type of partner Hughes needs, but I’m not sure what the cost would be. I feel that a Top 4 RHD would cost a lot more than Boeser, especially with the way he’s played this year, but apparently (what I’ve read) Parayko is always not having the best year?

Let me know how this is,

Cheers!

Not even remotely close. And the LDs are the ones that need new homes, not Parayko and Faulk (despite what many Blues fans howl).

No he’s not lmao.

That’s a horrid take.

He’s literally the only one in our top 4 who can handle top 4 shutdown minutes. Which he gets at a very heavy rate.

He’s not a #1 d man like we’d all hoped. But he’s certainly a top pair guy. Especially if he got better than 35% OZ starts. He still manages to get around 30 points a season doing so which is wild especially given no PP time.

He’s being asked to take on by far the hardest usage on the team, and probably one of the hardest matchups in the league while playing half the season with Mikkola and the other half with Leddy. Tell me who is going to have great statistical seasons in that usage.

-3.9 GAR, 3rd worst offWAR in the NHL among defenseman and a placement level to below replacement level on nearly every since advanced defensive metric available. He sucks. And in terms of value, his horrific 8 year deal makes him so much less valuable

Do either of those models factor in usage whatsoever?

Do they account for QoC? TOI isn’t a great measure for a guy who has a heavily swayed usage of d zone starts. It generally makes them look worse.
