Well NY have struggled to develop offensive forwards or maybe it's just the prospects struggling but who knows. Kravtsov also only has 48 NHL games under his belt. Low risk for CHI. Might not be enough for Davidson but the compensation is reasonable and mutually beneficial.

Considering Goodrow's age, cap hit, salary owed, and term, that is not enough compensation. Kravstov isn't worth much of anything and a 3rd definitely doesn't come close to paying for a cap dump of that magnitude. He is still owed almost $16.5M. Would you pay $16.5M for a reclamation project and a late 3rd round pick? If you say yes, you are lying or would be fired as GM immediately.

Not so much on the trade but just a question, in this scenario the kids line will always be a third line, barring injury there is no chance to get top 6 minutes for any of them especially Chytil who seems like next season he could be a 2nd line center

it looks like you are right, it might make it hard for NYR to resign these guys at a decent number since it doesnt seem like they have a chance to play in the top 6.

The other option is to buyout Goodrow, where you actually get a cap credit for 2023-24 and 2024-25, which is the Rangers cup window. It isn't that Goodrow is a bad player, especially for playoffs, but Vesey is just as good at 800k. They need to find a couple guys like Vesey to fill in the lineup and do everything they can to retain Miller (first priority), Chytil (second priority), and bridge Lafreniere until he shows he can play at a high level consistently.
