Potential Playoff lines

Description
I mainly made this, just for the insane depth we have for forwards. Getting domi, another bunting like. Brings down Jarnkrok. The third line is honestly the most intriguing line of this team. The fourth line can be seen as a shutdown line or a checking line. All of those guys can get in on the forecheck and be relentless on the puck. The leafs strengths is offence, so why not improve that. The leafs D have been solid this whole year. Improving our strengths is a thing we should do.

Also the leafs in there last 8 series clinching playoff games they are 0/17 on the powerplay and 5 of those 8 games they lost by 1 goal.

There can be 3 way trades too to get more retention, as domi was apart of one last year. The trades that I made are maybe not accurate or paid fairly as I do not know the value of anyone.

Unfortunately, Dubas had the chance to get Domi for no assets and less AAV last year and pass on him so I don't think that will be happen even if Domi wants to come here. I would like to see him in Toronto - would be very interesting how he could evolve to another level with this team.

So the Rangers got the superior Tarasenko for a first. But somehow the Leafs have to give up first, their best Dman prospect Niemela, and forward prospect for ROR...who hasn't been good this season .
Kerfoot and Hirovan for Barbashev....OK that's a trade.

You don't watch a lot of hockey if you think Tarasenko is superior to ROR and all you do is look at season totals. The Blues still aren't doing the above regardless. They'll get more elsewhere. But they have been playing so well now with ROR back in the lineup and are now 6 points out of playoffs so who knows if they move anyone else.

I agree that the Blues (and other teams) that are close to the playoffs maybe aren't sellers.
But giving up so much for marginal improvement....it's suckers game at TDL

Not valuing players like O'Reilly and Barbashev is the reason your team hasn't won a playoff round since before Connor Bedard was born...

No giving up young assets that could have been used on cheap ELCs for TDL trades that produced nothing is the reason the Leafs haven't won a playoff round.
I really don't know how the the exchange of Barbasov/ROR for Kerfoot, helps the Leafs much this year, never mind giving up futures.

Heh. You think that ROR/Barby has no edge over Kerfoot by himself? Wow. That is certainly a take.

Barby and Kerfoot...,.that's about a fair exchange. Yep ROR over Holmberg (who ROR would replace) would help the Leafs. But does ROR over Holmberg advantage the Leafs any further? And at the cost of a 1st/3rd, Niemela, Robertson. That's the issue.

Well, no, that's not the issue I took. I took issue with the specific comment that having ROR/Barby wouldn;t help the Leafs any more than having Kerfoot, which is... wild, man. And uhh yeah, ROR is a large advantage over Holmgren. Did you really just ask that? Wild stuff.

As for the trade above cost included, I don;t see the Blues preferring such a quantity offer. If he can distill it down to three pieces, four tops if ditching Kerfoot is mandatory, and likely make it so one of them is not any of those three prospects, it might be worth discussing for everyone.

Hawks decline. They'll get better offers for Domi half retained

I just say it doesn't 't change the Leafs fortunes....unless ROR has a Conn Smythe first round.
Well for a first second and third rounder, fourth rounder.....at least the Leafs got Josh Pillar.
