The Blues would absolutely accept this offer. They would LOVE to have Harley.

As a Blues fan, I was expecting the stars to not accept this. Which is why it's a second and not a first. Would prefer the first but think that could cause a no-deal (would be next years 1st)
Really like Harley and the idea of bringing in Kyrou (older brother potentially mentor a bit and has upside)
Jchockey12, only retained salary on Acciari to make cap a little closer. Could end up sending ROR to Arizona (with a 4/5th) to retain some salary so the blues can use that third salary retention for Barbi if needed

The Stars certainly don't accept this. O'Reilly is dealing with an injury that will keep him out for the next couple of weeks and it's the kind of injury that very well could impact his overall play when he's "healthy". Also worth noting that the Stars don't need a center. That's probably the position they are deepest at currently. Of the players in their top-6 (Robertson, Hintz, Pavelski, Benn, Johnston, Dellandrea), the only one that doesn't play center is Robertson. This is before factoring in guys like Seguin, Faksa, and Glendening as well. Simply no need for O'Reilly right now. Can't see Dallas trading some high end assets for a player on an expiring deal that they don't need.

Also worth noting that an argument could be made that Kyrou is the 2nd best D prospect in the Stars system behind Bichsel. He and Harley are both very good defensive prospects for Dallas and Kyrou is in a premium position at RD. Harley is more expendable in a trade than Kyrou, but you're not getting Harley, Kyrou, and a 2nd for O'Reilly right now

ROR is already back with goals in back to back games and has looked very strong out there. And all those players you named have capabilities to play wings as well. ROR should slide in as a great 2C and will certainly help on important faceoffs and on special teams. It's a good trade for Dallas who is having a great season and should be in a win-now mode with how open the west is and an aging group of guys (still new young core coming in).

Wasn't aware he was playing again. My point still remains that Dallas does not need O'Reilly. The Stars have 4 players who are better in the faceoff circle than O'Reilly. Instead of overpaying for O'Reilly, why wouldn't Dallas go out and get a true LW/RW instead? I'd rather pay a 2nd + good prospect for someone like Max Domi, or go out and get someone like Kevin Labanc than spend the 2 top prospects and a 2nd Round Pick for O'Reilly; especially since St. Louis is in the division.

Dallas isn't going to be in the business of overpaying a rival and giving them pieces that could come back to haunt them for the better part of the next decade.
