Yes they get Barrie + 3x 1sts + 2x 2nds, but they are on the hook for $5.75M for the next 4 seasons still from Karlsson, are going to take 1 more season of Foegele at $2.75M, and the two prospects sent from Edmonton are C level prospects at this point (putting up 0.5 ppg in the AHL over multiple seasons isnt great)

SJ is essentially only getting the draft picks (3x 1st and 2x 2nds) in exchange for a downgrade from Karlsson to Barrie at essentially an even cap hit and taking on the Foegele contract.

Thats $8.5M in dead cap hit next season and $5.75 for the next 3 seasons after that. Do you know what kind of player you could get for $8.5M? Just for reference, Cale Makar (a 22 YO coming off of a Stanley Cup and Norris) just signed for $500k more than that...
