I like the Sabres more than most, but Girgy isn't worth much. A 5th is good for a 30yo pending ufa with 11 points. I can see a condition being put that makes it a 4th but what do you expect as a return? Just curious.

Why exactly are the Sabres dumping the guy who wears an “A” for them- and longest tenured player on the team- for JUST a crappy 5th round pick??

We’d likely want more than another team would give,
as he’s more valuable to us than u guys (or whoever)

I think the idea would be to give him a shot at the cup and then bring back said sacred knowledge for the Sabres many future runs.

Girgenson is worth a 3rd with retention.

23 first for jensen

He gets a 2nd. Look at his defensive advanced stats. He's a very good defensive forwards.

He isn't going to be traded tho. I don't think we'll sell and he wears a letter.

As much as I like what he brings, 4th line depth guys don't go for 2nds. I would prefer the Sabres don't sell and make it in.
