I might be biased, but Boeser is worth the flier imo. Ever since he's been put back with Petey and given more PP opportunities he's looked much better

I'd rather keep Sharangovich and just give up some B level prospects.

Meier isn't going to make 10 m tho. He'll probably end up at like 8.5; Devils will be fine financially. By the time Luke and Nemec need BIG contracts, guys like Marino, Hamilton, and Graves if we resign him will be on their way out. We have an abundance of prospects and we need to deal some of them for Meier. Boeser is not the move and definitely not at his full cap hit

Trade - three of the following five pieces: Holtz, Nemec, Hughes, Mercer, 2023 1st.

Contract - 8 years around $9.5 million (and note, Bratt will likely be looking to that as his benchmark).

Until the prices comes waaaaay down on Meier, it’s really not even worth talking about anymore. For a guy that torched a few bad teams in the Pacific but has been 0.70 ppg vs everyone else…we should stay far away.

I don’t really see a need for Boeser. I like Holtz and he fits better than Boeser imo and has more upside. Being on an ELC is also a plus.

I’ve always been resistant to acquiring Timo Meier. Love him and his play, but I also love cap space, the 2023 first round pick and Holtz. I don’t see him as the final piece and this is a learning year. I’d be content with not making a move at all and just see how far this team can go.

Personally, my targets are more geared towards fixing the bottom six: Duclair, Vrana, Leivo, and Bjugstad.
