You realize fleury has an NMC right

and im sure vegas is at the top of the list

-Is Fleury going to waive his NMC to go back to Vegas? Feels like there could still be some pretty bad blood lingering there - I don't think the value is terrible, but I don't think MAF is agreeing to that.

-Edmonton will probably want the full 50% retention (do it, you have room) and will probably need to send cap back. If you're tanking the last quarter of the season, I'd take back Puljujarvi (and maybe have Edmonton throw in an extra mid-round pick for the favor) and give him some run to see if he just needed to get out of Edmonton to be a good hockey player. Worst case, you let him walk in the summer.

-I don't see why the Islanders would do this? Goligoski is basically a 7th D at this point of his career, Greenway is a player I've always loved but he's struggled mightily this year (2-4-6 in 36 GP!) Pageau has been his usual self (40-45 points, solid defense as 3C) and while he's probably overpaid at $5M, I'd rather carry that deal than cash it in for two fringe-y guys if I was Lamoriello.

I’d love Fleury back, but I don’t think he has any love left for Vegas’s management.
