So SJS is giving up the two better defenders in the trade. Helping Edmonton get out of the Berrie and Nurse deals while retaining $10M over the course of Karlsson contract. For a 1st and Puljujärvi who has been rumoured to be getting placed on waivers 7363 times the last two season (Although I like Jeese but SJS could just wait to get him)

Plus your getting Karlsson who's whole thing is his offense, to play him on his offhand....

Since Jeff Skinner puts up good numbers, Vlasic have the league worse contract … followed by Ekman-Larsson & Gallagher

Gallagher's last 2 playoffs he went into them injured ,came out even more injured.
Broken Jaw , Hip Tear, Fractured Thumb (same hand he had surgery on twice before his back to back 30 goal seasons ) and others im sure he didnt disclose.
What's ridiculous is our winning record without him i hear the announcers call during games when he's brought up .
That said since RHP joined the NHL we dont struggle without Gallagher just waiting for someone to return to spark the team.

Best thing he could do for everyon is take a year off to get all your surgery's and rehab done so you're in the best shape of your life for a return.

That defense is way worse than what they have now. They'd get shredded in the playoffs. The Oilers will not trade Nurse. Full stop. Anything after that is irrelevant.
