Doug Armstrong wins the lottery and selects Connor Bedard.
He also buys out a player for the first time ever: Marco Scandella.
O'Reilly is back on a team friendly deal to be the 3C behind Bedard and Thomas to form one of the best center cores in the league.
Schenn mans the first line as more of an enforcer to protect bedard. Brings some offense as well.
Bedard and Kyrou are the stars on this team.

Krug waives his NTC to go back to boston. Boston gives us the rights to Frederic. I would be perfectly fine with future considerations too.

I see Bolduc making the roster out of camp next year but I could also see Doug signing Drouin to a $3M prove it deal and put him on the second line.

Ryan Graves is the stabilizing force on this defense and helps Parayko regain his composure on the blue line.

I could see Sandin coming back in an O'Reilly trade but if not, Leddy or Perunovich seem like a fine fit here.

If all goes right, this team should be sniffing the playoffs and prime to strike in year 2 and 3 with the cap going up and few top players needing to be resigned.
The prospects drafted with the picks acquired from trading Tarasenko, Barbashev, and O'Reilly will be enticing pieces to buy players at future trade deadlines.
