1st/1st/Lohrei is enough for Chychrun. It’s actually to much, so taking Reilly, who is actually an asset for them, balances that. After they move Chyc and Ghost not only will they need him on the backend he helps get them to the floor.

First off, probably a bit of an overpay.
Secondly, just why? Bruins already have the best top four in the league. You’re moving heaven and earth to take mcavoys D partner, and stick him out of position on the third pair and knock clifton out of the lineup. It just seems like making a huge move for the sake of making a huge move.

For what it’s worth, from a statistical standpoint, mcavoy and grzelcyk have been the best d pair in the NHL over the last three seasons. I’m not sure I’d completely buy into that, but it’s a really good pair.

Bjustad for Zboril Is not fair lol. A seventh dman for a 3rd liner on an extremely affordable contract isn't gonna cut it.

Bjugs is an expiring contract. Zboril has term and would play for other teams. Depth charts matter.

There will be a lot of teams interested in Bjustad. He goes for a 2nd round pick, and if the Bruins cap dump Smith in the deal a 4th goes as well. That's the price of dealing at the deadline every year many GMs go public saying how high the market was after the deadline.
