MN Wild-Seller Deadline

Créé par: gottscc
Équipe: 2023-24 Wild du Minnesota
Date de création initiale: 25 janv. 2023
Publié: 1 févr. 2023
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
This is assuming the Wild continue to fall out of contention. All contracts are based off of The Athletics "Market Value" on its Player Cards.

Trade Deadline:
Dumba dealt to EDM (home) and signs extension there.
Hartman dealt for less than half of Brandon Hagel return CHI-TB at 21-22 deadline
Foligno dealt after BOS misses out on big fish at the deadline.
Goligoski waives NMC for another chance at the Cup
Reaves dealt for peanuts to anyone who wants him

Minnesota misses the playoffs so Brock Faber can't burn year one of two on his entry level

UFAs: Gaudreau only stays if deal is 2 years or less at $2.25milAAV or less (reportedly will take a team friendly deal)

RFAs: Addison, Gustavsson and Steel all sign bridge deals (Guesses on extensions. Hope for less AAV to gain flexibility).

2023 Free Agency: Sign 1-2 depth forwards and 1-2 depth defensemen to 1 yr/$1 mil or less deals

Coffers stocked with draft picks for Judd Brackett to maximize and cap sheet is clear at the end of Cap Hell with a projected $55 mil to spend after 2024-2025 season. Billy G can use the prospects to swing a big deal or make a splash in Free Agency 2025.

As I said, you're entitled to your own opinion, but everything you just said is total conjecture.

And there are plenty of examples that disagree with you - Hagel, Foligno, Toffoli, Palmieri, Goodrow, Kase, Zucker, Mantha, Tatar, Stastny....

It’s also conjecture to assume bad deals made in the past would apply to this year’s deadline with your guys

But sure, i suppose it’s possible
We’ll just have to wait n see what happens

Just saw your revisions
Don’t think Greenway is getting u a conditional 1st either
Surely not from us

This isn't my post, I didn't revise anything and haven't said anything about Greenway.

You had said "not many teams trade 1sts for wingers"....so I gave you 10 examples of wingers being traded for 1sts. And now you're moving the goalpost on what was being argued.

I don't really care if you agree or disagree. You can believe whatever you want regarding Hartman's value. But you're stating your own opinion as if it's fact when it's verifiably not. That's all I was pointing out.

And Hartman isn’t nearly on the level of those guys
Again, 14points this year- that just doesn’t get you a 1st
And I’m not saying my opinion is fact

But again,
we’ll see who ends up being right & who ends up being wrong

I would imagine we're both right in that he doesn't end up moving anywhere.

Hartman has 79 points over his last 108 games with an extremely favorable cap hit and a year of term remaining. You can spin in anyway you want, but those are the raw numbers. Until GMs stop trading 1sts for similar profile wingers, I have no reason to believe it won't continue.

Last year was a good season for him
But he hasn’t approached ANYTHING like that in ANY other season of his entire career

Last year was a clear exception,
and not what will determine his value

That's just not the reality of the NHL, though. Outlier seasons impact players' value. Whether or not you believe they should is irrelevant, it is a verifiable fact that that they do.

I'm not saying his value is that of a 65 point player making 1.7M. If it was, he'd net a lot more than just a 1st. But his performance last season doesn't just get ignored and thrown in the trash.

I really do not care what you think his value is. I don't even care what I think his value is. Ignore personal opinion and let the dozens of historical trades shape the market.

All you're continuing to do is just throw out your own opinion as parade it as fact without providing any supporting evidence whatsoever. More conjecture. Agree to disagree and move on.

Clearly you DO care
Because u can’t stop trying to convince me

None of those historical trades had a guy getting a 1st when he had ONE good season & a bunch of “meh” ones

It’s not gonna happen
Good luck

Zucker has FIVE seasons of 20goals or more
Hartman has ONE good season

Goodrow is an example of the exception, NOT the rule

But go on….
Keep trying to convince me even though u supposedly don’t care! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
