Description

A small rumour has risen to discussion that the Toronto Maple Leafs are interested in Seattle Kraken defence-men Carson Soucy. Now that Muzzin’s carrier could be over the Leafs could start looking for a new D-man. If the Leafs do trade for Soucy they will have to get rid of someone for Cap. This player is rumoured to be Alex Kerfoot and Wayne Simmonds. Combined they have a salary of 4.4M which is almost double Soucy’s salary. This is just a rumour and has not been confirmed. If this trade went down who would you see as the winner? I am aware that Kerffot has a M-NTC. I think he waives due to the Leafs not advancing. The Kraken probably will make the playoffs but only time will tell. (Didn’t make the lines)

Personally I think the only way the Kraken trade Soucy is if they trade for another defenseman to supplant him in the lineup. Even in that instance Kerfoot and Simmonds alone aren't a good return in either value or fit for Soucy, Seattle already has a plethora of capable forwards. GMRF would likely want draft/prospect capital on top of them or different players.

Kind of horrible leafs offer, and considering SEA is going for it, doubt they trade Souccy, unless they get overpaid.

Do the leafs offer sandin for soucy? Do the leafs offer a 2nd in 2024 and a bit more? Because I think thats what'll take

Agreed. Wouldn’t want Seattle to trade Soucy in general. Was just going off what the rumour said. I’m a Seattle fan and in no world could I see Seattle accepting this deal.
