Description
I'm probably outside of my depths on this but I wanted to do this for fun to see how my ideas would be received by those involved! Have at it :)
Transactions
1.
VAN
  1. Greenway, Jordan
  2. Choix de 1e ronde en 2023 (MIN)
  3. Choix de 2e ronde en 2024 (MIN)
Détails additionnels:
Not like VAN needs the cap space the next couple years and, if it can improve the haul the team gets, it's a wiser use of cap space than taking a 3mil cap dump.
MIN
  1. Boeser, Brock (3 325 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
I'm not exactly sure if MIN fans would approve but this would address cap concerns related to acquiring Boeser and gives them a cheaper top-6 RW during the lean years caused by the buyouts.
2.
VAN
  1. Foote, Cal
  2. Choix de 4e ronde en 2023 (TBL)
TBL
  1. Schenn, Luke (425 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
This is a common one on CF that I think makes a lot of sense
3.
VAN
  1. Nemec, Simon
  2. Choix de 1e ronde en 2023 (NJD)
Détails additionnels:
+ the rights to Severson (who agrees to an extension)

There isn't really a precedent for a trade like this but I envision this being the core of the package: 2 RD to lock down the Canucks' right side for the next half decade+ and a 1st
NJD
  1. Hughes, Quinn
Détails additionnels:
This would be designed to take place around the draft. While NJ is in a VERY good place even if they stand pat on their current defense, I think the possibility of adding Hughes is too perfect to not pursue
4.
VAN
  1. Yamamoto, Kailer
  2. Choix de 2e ronde en 2024 (EDM)
EDM
  1. Garland, Conor
Détails additionnels:
Another deal for the draft; EDM gets a better Yamamoto who has more of track record of health and VAN opens up cap space and gets another pick

The Devils have no need for Quinn other than the novelty of it. Nemec is untouchable. If the Devils are serious about getting Quinn they are waiting until he’s a FA and coming on his own volition.

Another troll or bad proposal! For the billionths time wild, our gm has less than zero interest in boeser! We aren't giving up anything for him. Boeser even retaining isn't getting greenway, 1, & 2nd round pick. Again trade boeser elsewhere.

Just to add. Wouldn't the Devils be so much better off spending 8m on good UFA, and keeping Nemec and the 1st rather than trading for Hughes?

Hot damn, dial it down, buddy! Not a troll; just an idea from a non-VAN fan that sees an opportunity for MIN to get an affordable scorer for the next couple years.

Please explain why TB adds. You are aware TB just a year and a half ago didn't offer Schenn a contract. I know they didn't, because he signed a PTO with Vancouver. But now they give up Foote and a 4? Really?

Our gm doesn't want him. Boeser is slow as heck and isn't worth anything. Besides the fact, that there's been reports that our gm has less than zero interest. It's okay to trade boeser elsewhere. The dude has zero value even retain and our coach wouldn't play him

Fair counter. As I mentioned in the trade, I know full well that NJ is already VERY well off if they just stand pat on D and re-sign Graves. Just positing an idea where they could add a game-changer like Hughes and, in my eyes, not surrender an obscene amount. Clearly Devils fans disagree, but that's the point of posting it. I just think adding Hughes to that D corps would make it absolutely nuts!

Because that's a common trade around CF that I've seen both VAN and TB fans agreeing to. If you disagree, you're entirely free to but I'd posit that it's at least not unreasonable based on the consensus I've seen.

I don't think that's true- especially not at 3.3mil for 2.5 more years- but I get the sense that you're rather opposed to Boeser as a player. No sense arguing the point further in that case. I fathom that MIN's need is more at C than any other position, for clarity. Just figured an upgrade to scoring on the W could help offset the need while Rossi develops when the kind of upgrade at C that's ideal is going to more difficult to find and more expensive.

Just don't understand how it's reasonable. What about letting a guy walk for ZERO says you turn around and give up a 9 year younger RFA + just over a year later THATS LUDICROUS!! This says TBs self scouting is so bad they didn't see in 2 seasons what they had in Schenn. Is that what you're saying? He spent more than half his regular season time here a healthy scratch and over 60% of playoff time 19 out of 48 games. Of the 19 playoff games he played 14 TB used 7 defensemen.
