The only way it takes us 5 years to start competing is if we do trades like this. Laf frankly hasn't been good with the Rangers, and I question if that has stunted his development as a player.

In order to get Terry you would have to overpay us enough that we couldn't say no. That would take the 23 1st, at least one of Othmann or Kravstov, +++

What’s happening with Laf is, he has 3 career PP pts lol. What 1OA has never been on PP1 once he stepped into a lineup? I imagine it’s very low. He’s a victim of circumstance. Circumstances being they weren’t a “bad” team when they won his services. He’ll easily be a ppg player once that happens. And he’s only 21 still

That's a cool story and all, but you are asking for a guy who has put up more goals in a season than Laf has put up points on his career best year, and he is only 25. We are not interested in moving him unless it is a kings ransom.

The rest of the league sees Laf as a cautionary tale of rushing a prospect to the NHL instead of developing them properly. I hope that Laf can get traded somewhere that he can get a role in the top 6 and unlock his potential, but I don't think any team is going to give up very much to take a chance on him, he is starting to look like Jesse Pulljujarvi at this point.
