No brainer? Not saying the Sharks do the deal, but how Isles create cap next season for Meirer new contract and Barzel's already signed contract?
Isles would be much better keeping their picks, and using that money to sign a UFA (if they can rid of Beauviler or Bailey's contract.

Looks like a Lose-Lose trade to me. Meier's QO is $10M and I can't see the Islanders matching that. The Sharks could also easily get more for him with a more attractive suitor like the Devils or Jets.
