How about you keep Heinen and give Detroit a 3rd which is fair value for Suter with 50% retained.

I don’t understand what MTL are doing with Pitlick, he was great last season in a top 6 role. This season, he plays on the 4th line on a defensive role, so he doesn’t produce. Get waived, went unclaim, best player in Laval with Richard & Ylönen. Last two games, he got PP time and played with good players : 2 goals 2 assists … just keep him in the top 6 ffs (I think that’s what they’ll do now)

They’ll have no choice with all the injuries…dude has Evan Rodrigues type potential imo just needs the chance.

Heinen would have to be included to make the cap work on the Pens end, but a 3rd for Suter with retention would be a steal for the pens. They need a guy like him in the bottom 6.

He just hasn't carved out a role or been particular strong with any certain line combination or excelled at any one thing. Decent all around player, but nothing special. When he wasn't able to produce in a bottom 6 role, there was no place for him.

Personally I'd play him over Drouin or Dadonov, even Pezzetta, but he's ideally a 3rd liner.
