You should specify that "Anaheim" stands for "Any team but the Ducks" because the last thing that a team about to select one of the top three centers in this year's draft needs is a rental center who will be expensive for a rebuilding team to acquire.

He said "Low 1st round pick or 2nd round pick," so that rules out our own first but he may be dreaming that we'd give up pick #35/36 for a Monahan guest appearance.

Why Harris takes this ? He should get what Sandin & Liljegren got or what Durzi got, which is a 2 years deal at 1.4M or 1.7M

I don't see anyone giving up a first for Monahan TBH. He isn't that much better than a Kampf and such

Big laugh you gave me there
Monahan is much better than Kampf, but no I don't think he returns a 1st round pick
Come on, Monahan without his hips was more close than Kampf than Kampf is to an healthy Monahan

First, you are the first Habs fan to say Monohan isn't getting a first, so , I applaud you for your realism. Second, NHL players are so close together, an NHL player without their hips isn't as good as the worst player in the league. Third, How is Kampf not at least close to Monahan (if not better) especially for what he does?

Monahan is a top 6 forward while Kampf is an excellent shutdown bottom six center
Monahan value dropped because of his injuries, but he is the better player ...

On a good team, how is Monohan a top 6 player? I could see him being the 6th on EDM but who else?

McDavid Draisaitl RNH Hyman Kane Monahan
Even if you took that team he would still be on the top 6
He would be on any team a top 6 forward

Col fully healthy: Mack, Rant, Landy, Nichuskin, Lehkonen, Compher/Rodrigues/Newhook
    TB fully healthy: Stammer/Kuch/Point/Cirelli/Hagel/Killorn,Paul, Colton
TO fully healthy, Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Willie, Jarnkrok, Bunting

    Monahan is better than
COL : Lehkonen Compher Rodrigues Newhook
TB : Hagel Paul Colton and probably Hagel but let's say Hagel is better for fun
    TOR : Jarnkrok

Monahan talent wise could be in every team top 6
But he is excellent at center so teams who will want him will expect him to play C

I know some players fit better than others, like Lehkonen is fitting well in COL & they would rather have Lehky than Monahan, but Monahan is the better hockey player

Not really... Lehkonen is a "Walmart", cheaper version of Zach Hyman (who is far better than Monahan. Jarnkrok has been scoring in the top 6. Compher is essentially Monahan but cheaper

Ouin, non. I don't think you have watched Monahan to say that
Just look at his track record and the other players you named track record
They where all 3rd liners (Hyman 2nd line) while Monahan was a 1B Center

    Best seasons :
    Jarnkrok : 35 points
Hyman : 54 points but will surpass it this season
Lehkonen : 38 points but will surpass it this season
    Compher : 33 points

Monahan : 82 points but with several good seasons : 64,63,62,58 and all those seasons are 27+ goals

Monahan is a better hockey player than the other name mentionned, but due to injury, he slowed down big time

But after surgery, he looked good again

Just to be sure I'm not talking about the value of the player, just if he is good/bad
