I don’t think that the rest of the league is unaware that hart has kinda sucked the last three years. Provorov hasn’t been much better.

Petersen is not a cap dump because we don't have to trade him, and we're not trading Brandt Clarke one-on-one for anyone on your team, let alone in a multi-asset package.

You are wrong about Hart. He has played well for most of this season in front of a bad team. Philly doesn’t need to make this trade; there will be plenty of teams interested if they make Hart available which will inflate his value. I love the team LA has built….just thought they might want a young top 4 D-man along with a young goalie that would put them over the top now and not hurt their future….

I bet some team would take a flyer on hart for a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Hart has been a top 10 goalie this year. According to moneypuck he's 8th in GSAA per 60 (min 18 games), 6th in high danger shot save% and was top 5 in GSAA in for a long time this season. I don't know how you came to the conclusion that he is horrible this year when he's been the reason they have won some games. Also Hart will get a lot of interest if he is made available because he is only 24 and most goalies start getting to their peak when they are like 26

And according to hockey, he’s sucked.

He has let in a lot of goals, and not saved enough shots.

This isn’t rocket science. You’re saying I’m leading with emotion here? You’re making excuses for a goalie who over the last three years has a sub .900 save %, good for 61st in the league (for all goalies with 25+ starts), and a 3.23 GAA, good for 64th in the league.

The team hasn’t been of much help, but he’s been horrible over a very large sample size.

He has only been sub 900 save % once in his career. You need to look at other analytics other than save % and GAA which literally doesn't mean much for a goalie, it more represents the defense in front of the goalie. Using your logic Karel Vejmelka is a horrible goalie
