Yeah, here's the thing. This whole "taking some pricey guy that does not fit because maybe they can eventually jump through hoops to move him for peanuts" thing is not something the Blues partake in much. I get that you need to move out some salary, but the Blues are not in a position to eat cap and generally don't even when they can. Barrie having another year left is a major problem, and that's before we even get to the part where there's just not a real place for him in STL.

Besides, since there's no way Arizona bites on that offer, you will have plenty more options for sending to the Blues.
