You’re getting a replacement in Ceci for half the money and far less term. You’re getting a winger who can score but we can’t afford 3.1 million on the wing, hence why he has to go. JP would be sending you stuff we don’t want. I’d be willing to upgrade on Savoie or make it two firsts but that’s it. I think you’d be pretty disappointed if you think top end youngsters would be involved in that kind of trade because no team would give you a first and multiple A level prospects for 6.5 million a year for 7 more years of a 30 year old defenceman.
