I dont think thats the idea behind this post. They are just showing rental trades Colorado has made in season the last decade.

Colorado was terrible for a long time so their in-season trades might not reflect the in-season trades made by contending teams. As the reigning Champs I assume thats where they see themselves

Maybe a more accurate idea would be to look in-season trades made by the reigning champs trying to repeat.
