CANUCKS REBUILD

Créé par: DSG
Équipe: 2023-24 Canucks de Vancouver
Date de création initiale: 8 déc. 2022
Publié: 8 déc. 2022
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
We won't be competitive until 2026 and by then we shouldn't have any awful contracts left as OEL would be in his last year and hence could be cheaply moved at the deadline for a third (or maybe second if he is having a good year) round draft pick. We can also secure more draft picks by taking on short term terrible contracts. And we can resign Petey to a long term extension and afford his price which would be at least 10 million.

Why do the Leafs trade a first and second for Garland and Schenn. Leafs are fine at wing and really don't want Garland's cap. If Muzzin is on LTIR his addition to the trade is not relevant at all.
Captain Trouba waives his NMC for Canucks...sure
Don't know why Jersey would want Boesner, they have wingers. Just spend his 6.65m on someone just as good or better and keep the first rounder.

Muzzin wouldn't be on LTIR permanently, I have him on there just in case. Also Leafs are losing a lot of wingers this offseason and Garland brings them more depth and Schenn bring them more physicality. Good trade for them imo.

Also Trouba goes along with the trade since he wants to make the Rangers better/competitive/contenders and he can play a top 2D role at the Canucks.

Jersey brings in Boeser because he brings goal scoring ability and can easily have a comeback season given a fresh start on a young team. Their depth and offense improves dramatically with Boeser on the wing.

why would trouba want to make a team that we wont even be on better
he already is the #2D for a better team in the Rangers
do you also not remember the big fuss he made about playing in the states when he was an RFA with WPG
