You're not getting a 1st for Monahan. It COST a 1st just to dump him. Maybe a 3rd/4th. Nothing more.

i probably wouldnt pay a first for a guy on a 45 pt pace at ~3.2M but i might give up a second
although considering some gms moves recently we dont know what can happen

Values can change quickly. Yall paid a 1st for Kotkaniemi and it'd cost a 1st to offload him rn

Big no. At least Chiraot could stay in the lineup consistently. Monahan isn't getting a 1st. Plus you're using a D man to justify the market for a center? That's like saying Jesper Bratt got 5.454 so Crosby's next deal should be 5.454. It doesn't mean anything in comparison to the other. Really bad logic

Bahahahahahahahah, you're funny. I do love your pentup rage for one of the best Hurricanes so far this season. It'd cost multiple firsts to pry Waddell's hands off him right now, not to move him. Get educated

Oh boy. Multiple firsts for 3 points. I can't imagine what a guy like Mathieu Olivier with the same production but much cheaper can get in return then.

he was doing really well at the beginning of the szn but has slowed down since moving to C, he could definitely get a first if he either shifts back to wing (seems unlikely considering suzuki and dach will be on the same line, both as Cs, meaning dvo monahan evans will have to fill out the bottom 9) or improves his pace to 50-60 pts. if he does both i expect the price to go over a first even

Using points to justify how good a player has been is a bold move. Ignore the fact Jesperi Kotkaniemi has been pivotal to the success Svechnikov and Necas have had all season and that Kotkaniemi has been incredible defensively, just look at points! What a joke. Watch a Canes game bud

Many players are good at doing useless stuff, that doesnt justify AAV, contract length and players value. Kotkaniemi is basically Engvall, and nobody is paying multiple 1sts for Engvall. Watch a Leafs game bud.

I could be pivotal to the success of Svech and Necas, they're unreal offensive super stars and even Kotkaniemi can't chip in with them. He's useless.

If KK was a UFA today he'd be back in Finland

Engvall isn't good defensively, he's got FAR worse offensive numbers, and plays a far less valuable position. Not to mention, Engvall is 4 years older than KK. Stop it bud. A much more genuine comparison to Kotkaniemi is young Jordan Staal. Even the cup final appearance while still on his ELC. But go off because you're clueless.

He and Puljujarvi are the same.

For so many years Habs/Canes and Oilers fans have been hyping them up as huge breakout stars based on decent underlying numbers, but neither can't put it together. Both have 3 points while their linemates have 15+

Engvall and KK both have 3 points in 17 games.

One of these players plays on the fourth line, the other plays with Svechnikov and Necas LMAO you moron

No. This is comical. Kotkaniemi would be snapped up by half the teams in the league. He's 22, a DOMINANT defensive center, and excelling in the dot this year. A lack of points doesn't make a player useless. Especially if Kotkaniemi gets what the Evolving-Hockey model refers to as a "Tertiary assist". He creates so much more than what shows up on the score sheet and using points to justify your point proves you're just uninformed.
