Why do the Ducks trade Comtois for a 6th round pick and a 7th d-man at best. The pick right now would be the 187th pick and is expected to be Leo Isaksson who is a 150 lbs 5ft 10in LW who comes from Sweden. Coghlan is a 7th d-man for the Canes. The Ducks right now are running a tandem of Fowler-Kulikov, Benoit-Klingberg, White-Strand and they have 3 d-man on IR. Shattenkirk who is out with a undisclosed injury. Drysdale is out with a torn labrum and is expect to be out the rest of the season. Finally I’m pretty sure we all know why Vaak is out. However, their is no source that explains if he will be back anytime soon. You could take out strand or White but I prefer them over Coghlan. The only thing Coghlan has is that he is physical. Comtois we all know is very physical and could add a a spark to the Canes bottom six. However, Comtois loves playing as a Duck and I don’t think the return of Coghlan and the 6th round pick (Isaksson) is a good enough return for Comtois.
