“Deeply flawed” teams don’t go to the western conference finals. Watch an Oilers game sometime and then tell me it’s only two players.

Puljujvari and Yamamoto r legit being out produced in terms of points by Josh Bailey…. **** ain’t alright in Edmonton.

I watched all four WCF games last year. They didn’t belong there and it showed.

Then who did? Calgary? Because they were handled by the Oilers.

I thought the blues were the best team to face Colorado in the playoffs tbh.

2 prospects and a 2nd for two rental vets? That’s a steal

Maybe it would be (even though those are pretty low level prospects), but now factor in the 5.5m cap dump and the 1.5m in retention.

The future is now. Many of you don’t seem to understand what winning is and how teams build a culture of winning. We’ve been “rebuilding” for most of the last 30 years. Enough of that.

You don't "win now" by making terrible trades though. Chychrun is good but he's another offensive defenseman, not something Edmonton really needs. The other guys are just meh, they are moving the needle at all. So you wasted the future for a slight improvement in Cup chance now, it's just dumb asset management.

Holland built a team in Detroit that was a contender for 10 years or more, and that's what he's doing in Edmonton too. He won't trade a bunch of high end future assets for a very tiny improvement in today's roster, because it's bad business.

The analytics community really didn’t like St. Louis. Which makes sense this year lol.
