Yeah this trade doesnt do much long term for Mtl and if they made this move it would be to sell for value. Gallagher is overrated as are most habs but that wouldn't change the opinion of the fan base.

No, it doesn't make any sense. Not one of those pieces covers the retention, let alone whatever the value of each player equates to on top of that.

The guys is a warrior that every team would want in is team. He give everything he has in each game he play, never stop working. Did is playstyle affected is physique endurance ? yeah with year of injury have taken toll on is body but even now he still a huge part of the team if not is heart. He have slow because like I say of injury and is playstyle but he was able to put 2 season of 30 goal and if it was not because of injury / pandemic / Lock out he probably could have make more then 2 season of 30 goal. Since 2019-2020 he was able to play a full season.

Are is contract a potential bad one, maybe in year 4 to 6 because he will slowing but if you compare with what he have done before and is older contract you can see that he was pay for what he have done not what he still could bring back.
