That’s a terrible trade for Colorado. If they want to move Girard for a forward, they can do much better than someone signed until they’re 38. If the Avs wanted to make a long term commitment to 2C on the wrong side of 30, they would have just re-signed Kadri.

This isnt rocket science my man. And you do realize they won the cup with kadri out for large portions of the west finals and the cup finals. They seemed to be just fine with the exact same depth they have right now. Weird

Kadri is also younger. The issue isn’t this year where both guys are going to be good. It’s several years down the road when they’re nearing 40 and might not be NHL quality guys.
