De Haan, Dal Colle, #15 overall. Would probably have to be after expansion though

BUF doesn't do Faulk for Reinhart straight up, nonetheless an add 2nd. Kane and a conditional 2018 1st seems fair in my book. BUF could also take Cam Ward off your books.

Carolina dodges Kane bullet all day. Faulk consistently puts up over 30 points a year and Buffalo could sure use that considering there isn't much besides Risto on that blueline. IMO this is what it would take to pry Faulk away. Maybe change the pick to a third. Vegas or Arizona can take Ward. Carolina could eat the Moulson contract.

Don't see a need for Faulk for NYI they already are pretty solid with Boychuk and Hamonic. IMO Carolina would pass on the trade you offered considering our good depth at LW and that we really don't need picks badly or dmen

RNH and his 43 points don't get JF and many people consider him to be more of a 2nd line center. Carolina is set on LHD prospects. Carolina would be inclined to build a deal involving Draisaitl, however we would need to add considerably to have that deal be considered. Sekera and Faulk had a great year in Carolina when they played together and both had record years.

Buffalo will not be including Reinhart in any deal. Jack & Sam will be teammates and roommates for many years to come in Buffalo.

Flame away, but maybe for Drouin straight up. Certainly not adding the future 2C. Even just Drouin would be extremely hard to do.

I don't see that one working for Philly. They aren't going to retain $1M on Jake for 7 years. They'd do Cousins/Jake/2017 3rd or 4th for Faulk/Ward. The pick and Cousins would be so we wouldn't have to retain IMO

If the deal was in place before the expansion draft, but occurred afterward, I'd offer Granlund for Faulk. Granlund and Aho have played very well together for Finland.

I think Dylan's suggestion of RNH, a first and Jones, fits the needs for both teams. RHN might not be the "perfect" centre, but might be the best available at a reasonable price.

wouldn't a reasonable price for a lesser player (RNH) be not dealing Faulk and instead trading a player like Bean/Fleury for RNH straight up or adding a little and just keep their established NHLer?

Nate: Instead of futures (1st and Jones) I would think maybe the Canes would want RHN....and immediate help. Just couldn't think one. Bu you are correct, for cap reasons maybe the Oilers prefer to trade RHN and get a good future back.....Bean/Fleury in return. Then the Oilers use that new found money (by trading RHN) and sign a centre. In the meantime as you suggested....Canes have Faulk and RHN
Or, the Canes decide to spend a little money in UFA....sign Hanzel for example and keep Faulk.

Ok I was thinking you talking about it from the other perspective. I could see CAR moving an extra defender for RNH but I don't see them dealing a regular for him but that is my opinion. Idk if EDM would be wiling to trade for futures though - not sure how their GM views their chances to make a Cup. I have to think he's ready to win now especially once they lock up Drai/McDavid this summer and find out where they sit with the future cap. At least they have Klefbom locked up to a steal of a contract.
