we could retain a bit, but there's no way we will be giving picks here. We already moved a 2nd to dump dickinson and that's a disaster. Myers is not negative value at a more reasonable cap hit.
I would counter with Moore (neg value) and a 4th for Myers at 1.5-2m retained.
Anaheim isn't in a position that we need retention, but if you want to take John Moore and retain for a 4th, I'm not going to scoff at it. That leaves us more room for a potential Klingberg deal. Drysdale is going to get a cheap, short term bridge since he got hurt this year, it'll give him another season or two to prove himself for a better deal, so we won't run into any cap issues.

I would be opposed — a Myers Beaulieu trade would be fine with me but I’d need some value coming back if we are eating that whole contract, innerdivisional tax I suppose you could say
Dude, I just can't see my guy hurt anymore. I knew this season was going to be rough but holy ****, I didn't think we were going to be brutalizing our goalies. I almost want to trade Gibson somehwere competitive just so to end his suffering. If it costs a mid round pick to get Gibson some help, the send the pick. We have a lot of good draft capital, and we still have a well stocked prospect pool, I could give a damn if the 23 4th turns into the next Troy Terry, that'll be 5 years from now, and we would get help for the next two years from Myers, and maybe he sticks around for a bit after his current contract, so long as he bulldozes the crease, I don't care if we loose the trade.
