-Detroit passes. As the Wings fan upthread have said, I don't see who they can bring up to take over RD2 if they move Hronek, even if Nylander would be an interesting add.
-Toronto should pass on this. Dickinson was dumped with a 2nd rounder checks calendar 29 days ago. He's played well in 9 games since then, and all of a sudden he's worth a pair of prospects?
-Vancouver accepts this because they get the better player; Toronto shouldn't do this because they're sticking themselves with another year of Pearson's $3.25M and losing the versatility Kerfoot provides. If they move him for anything, it should be for someone more useful to the future.
-If you want to give the Coyotes anything for a guy that is a 7th D on probably 28-30 teams in the rest of the league, by all means they'll take it.
-Vegas is 10-2-0 behind Logan Thompson & Adin Hill. Why would they change up a good thing? Sure, Kallgren's cheaper but he doesn't have the experience or the talent that Hill has. Muzzin's LTIR contract doesn't do anything for them; they already have Shea Weber's contract for that. The 1st is nice, sure, but if I'm the Knights I want to see how much of a run my team has before I go messing with it.
-CBJ just extended Peeke about a month ago. I can't see them trading him away for any sort of package so soon after the ink dries; I'd also argue that this package doesn't really do it. Peeke is a solid middle-pair guy playing 20 minutes a night who's pretty inexpensive even on his new deal ($2.75M), and I can't see the Jackets moving on from him for a trio of B-prospects and a pick swap from the 3rd to the 2nd.
