2 pending UFAs a nobody prospect a 1st+2nd+2 3rd round picks for Kane at $5,250,000 and Murphy and Blackwell. That doesn't even get Patrick Kane @ $5,250,000 let alone adding Murphy to the deal.

This deal is heavily slanted in favor for the Leafs so aside from the fact we won't be getting Kane retained and Murphy, I just want to comment on the lines. Rather than bump Nylander down to third line, I'd rather move Bunting down as I haven't been too impressed with him so far this year. Why not throw Kane on the left side with Matthews and Marner? Leave Robertson-Tav-Nylander together.
