Team looks pretty good. Their left side D is missing a top pairing guy to push the other guys into their proper spot and goaltending is iffy. But next to that I like the team! I can see them going hard after Chychrun.

I'd rather have Daws getting some NHL games in than Bernier. If he gets healthy enough to play, I can't imagine he'll be good enough to complete.

Can’t see them going after any LHD as I think it is solid. They also have Luke Hughes who will probably come to the nhl after his college season and make an impact later this nhl season. Good defensive dman on that left side

What's the "proper spot" for Sieg and Graves? Both are well-about 3rd pairing guys. Chychrun is the last thing they need.

Graves top 4 left D. Sieg Top 6 left D. Chychrun would is a top pair left D. I would say Chychruyn is a 2/3 guy. Graves is a 4/5 guy. Siege is a 5/6 guy.

Clearly you have never watched siegenthaler play in a devils uniform. Clear top pairing defenseman as he was one of the most elite defensive dman in the nhl according to advanced stats and from the eyeball test. Not even close to a 5/6 guy

Fair enough! Having Him, Chychrun and hughes as your left D and Hamilton, Nemec, Marino as your right D long term would be massive. Plus a few guys like Bahl as depth. That would be an extremely good d corp. Chychrun makes this team better now and in the long term.

You haven't watched Siegenthaler play hockey. He doesn't have the offensive talent to be a true top-pairing Dman, but he's significantly better than Graves. Fitz isn't giving out 5 year deals to bottom pairing guys.

Luke Hughes and Siegenthaler will be the top-4 next season. The only question is whether Smith/Bahl/Okhotyuk can step up this season and alleviate the need to sign another LD for next season.

IR -> Rehab -> conditioning assignment -> waivers -> AHL -> NHL as needed 3rd goalie.

Siegenthaler = top-pair
Graves = 2nd pair
Smith = Just keeping the seat warm.

Hughes arrives this season. Bahl, Okhotiuk here. Walsh and Mukhamadullin are listed as RD but both can play LD.

Definitely don’t need Chychrun.

IMO, the 4h line is a question mark. You have 5-6 solid try lien players. Bastion, Boqvist, McLeod, Wood, Tatar.
