No "next Crosby's or Ovechkin's" in this group, but 11 of the 22 are 25 yrs or less, only 6 are 30 yrs old or more, with brink, andrae, foerster, gautheir on the way. Seeing what they have with guys like cates, tippett, frost, allison, york, attard, (any of which could cement top 9/top 4 roles OR just fizzle). Also guys like Zamula, ratcliffe, desnoyes, lycksell, hogberg in minors, all have upside. Defense is young, all being 28 yrs old or less, except Braun.
Alot of young guys, who could be NHLers, on "prove it years".
Braun, kerfoot, JVR probably all go for reasonable (with retention) return at deadline.
Really no expectations, and shouldn;t be, but a good quality number of intriguing youth, with the ability/cap space to be interesting, and some key guys they could deal if youth delivers to a degree (Sanheim, Koneckny).
