Jarventie has the better potential to score. Ottawa needs Boucher for his rough and tough style as a bottom 6. For Ottawa this is about filling a need not necessarily about who will be the better player.

For the optics I understand but Jarventie is a much better prospect than Boucher IMO

But you're right, Sens can't afford to trade Boucher 1 year after the draft while is value is super low. The GAMBLED hard on him, have to follow through

Frankly, he's barely worth a 2nd round pick right now. Jarventie is worth a late first.



Jarventie easily has the higher ceiling, he could even be a 1st line sniper as he has an impressive toolset with a deadly shot

But he's not as "likely to make it" as Boucher who will most likely be a bottom-6 grinder
