Since Lilly is hurt and Gio can't play the right (although he may be able to handle it in 3rd pair) I can think of one team that wants and needs Holl.

Re-thinking healthy line combos

Based on cap space, it seems to me it either has to be Sandin or Gio playing on the right side.

I'm thinking it will be Brodie, Holl benn and Brodie, Lilly, Holl when healthy.

Dubas and Keefe are going to have to be very impressed with benn to move Holl out. Teams are rarely healthy.

Holl is more valuable than Kerfoot. If any d-man goes down, they have Benn and Mete as the 8 and 9 on the depth chart. Leafs don't want them as 6 and 7. Losing Kerfoot anyway possible gets cap issues resolved and they can sign Sandin and workout the ice-time situation. Sounds like Muzzin will be lucky to play 30 games with back issues already.

I disagree. I dont hate Holl as much as others, but Kerfoot is a guy that can play anywhere in the lineup. After losing Mikheyev & Kase, we need to keep depth scoring. Our scoring outside the top 6 isnt that good.

Well Brodie and Lilly are locks on the right side when healthy. The next best options are Sandin or Gio. This really all depends on how many games Muzzin is in for

The next best option is Holl. With zero doubt. For that reason he stays. Muzzin is the key. He is holding Sandin's spot. Gio on the right may ir may not work on the 3rd pair.
