Carlo. Then maybe. I personally don't like Evander Kane but there's no way in hell they're trading McAvoy. The management would get creamed.

No, it's not even close to value for McAvoy and I would say that's not even close to the value for Carlo. The only way I'm letting McAvoy go is in a mega deal that has Eichel coming back (obviously more pieces would be involved)

So a proven goal scorer, a solid prospect and the 8th overall pick is "not even close" for a guy who has yet to play a regular season game?

Im not saying the bruins would or should make this hypothetical deal, but jesus.

Charlie McAvoy, top prospect for the Bruins and a potential top 2 defenseman (worst case, top 4) for a headcase winger for 1 year? It's not even close. Literally no point for Boston to do this. I wouldn't even trade Carlo, Zboril, or Lauzon in a deal for Kane.......The dude has 1 year left and is a UFA. Terrible asset management. If he's moved, get ready to be dissappointed with the return.

Spooner + Grzelcyk + Pick is the most I'd want Boston offering.

And that's why your posts can't be taken seriously. "Okay I guess?" Jesus, Joseph, and doggystyle Mary...... shakes head

Top defensive prospect for a winger. 8th overall pick in a weak draft (McAvoy would go top 3 in this draft) and a power forward who looks to have the upside of a bottom 6 at best.

I dont think either team does this. McAvoy is a very good prospect and had some nice moments in the playoffs but he's far from a can't miss player. Kane is a UFA in a year, Bailey is a nice prospect but not a superstar prospect, and the draft is weak. Boston is better off with McAvoy and the Sabres will find a better trading partner for Kane.....

A lot for McAvoy? What is Boston getting? Kane is a UFA AFTER THIS SEASON. I'll repeat that. KANE IS A UFA AFTER THIS SEASON. (I bolded it for you as well). That doesn't even factor in the fact that he's a headcase with character issues. Bailey screams bottom 6 forward prospect and the 8th overall pick in a weak draft......McAvoy is, at worst, a top 4 NHL defeneman and has top 2 upside.

McAvoy is a 'can't miss' player. He's going to be a legitimate top 4 defenseman for years to come and he has top 2 upside.

Is it against the law to resign or trade people or do UFAs die at the end of their contracts?

I think the team should be patient. Hope to get one of top 3 D in the draft, more likely Makar or Lilijgren. In a year or 2 they are Mcavoy. If Kane's value is so low a Boston fan wouldn't take him AND 8th for last years 16th then resign your best even strength scorer.

Um.....It's too much of a risk to take on for Boston. Give up a young stud defenseman with big upside for an injury proned, winger with character issues on a 1 year deal. He will be a UFA.....If he hates Boston, wants too much money, he walks and Boston can't do anything about it. If you're going to respond with trash troll comments, at least have a clue. Giving up defenseman for wingers is a bad idea. Giving up defenseman for wingers like Kane is an even worse idea. I get it, you think you have Patty Kane there, but you don't...You have Evander, and his worth isn't what you think his worth is.

It's re-sign btw. If he resigns, that means he's leaving. laugh

Re-sign Pastrnak, i'm assuming you're hinting at? That will happen. Bruins still could use a top 6 LW. Also, wishful thinking to say you have "McAvoy" in either of those two defenseman. Last year's 16th round pick goes in the top 5 this year 10/10......I'd rather have McAvoy than this package.

Not to mention, look around at the NHL right now. What's the #1 demand that every team wants? Young top 4 d-men with upside. Two of the most talked about trade targets this year and last off-season....Trouba and Fowler. Both are young Top 4 d-men with upside.

Maybe that package gets them Fowler. He's a UFA at the end of the year and if the Ducks feel like he wont stay and they'd expose him instead, maybe they do that deal. I still think they'd want a better prospect (upside wise) than Bailey though.
