Nobody is claiming foegele and if they do so what. The only reason you bury mclovin is to put Holloway on season opening roster so his bonuses don’t count against the cap. Then you send holloway to bako till after Christmas or an injury and put foegele back on the roster.

Why doesn't Holland move Foegele for an unwanted contract from another team at a similar number?

Only if they want to start with a 23-man roster. Holland has already stated publicly that he's comfortable starting with a 21 or 22-man roster. They don't need to make a trade to do that, nor do they need to bury Foegele. Sending Ryan down would be enough.

Foegele isn't "unwanted" though - the ONLY reason to move him (or Puljujarvi) is for cap purposes. Chemistry isn't an issue.

If team chemistry isn't an issue, then how come Foegele had such an underwhelming season? What you proclaim doesn't add up
