Why does any opinion that doesn't praise the Leafs get dismissed as "anti leafs bias" with this fanbase? It's tiresome.

Do you think Robertson is going to have a growth spurt at 21? He's smaller than the Coyotes' new arena, more fragile than a Toronto Sun columnist's ego, and I don't like his skating.

Jeannot probably won't repeat last season's scoring pace, with the Preds seemingly content to keep him on the 3rd line, instead of putting him into the top six. Still, that's just one aspect of his game. He's the closest the NHL has to the next Tom Wilson (minus the lack of composure) right now. I'd much rather have that, than the second coming of Darren Haydar.

just wondering why robertson at 21 who has a higher ceiling is going to be an ahler when you saw first hand last year a guy playing in the AHL and ECHL til 24 breakout and gets praised like a god, i bet noone knew who jeannot was at 21, ive seen preds fans say no to jeannot for nylander 1 for 1. the same stuff was said about liljegren up until last year. his brother broke out his age 21 year, after putting up .78 ppg in the AHL while nick was 1.0 ppg, it is 100% premature to call him an AHler at 21

So you're arguing patience is required with Robertson, because some players take longer to put it together at the NHL level, while simultaneously writing off Jeannot for being a late bloomer who's already done it?

Most every Preds fan around here agrees that Nylander holds more value than Jeannot. Most of us also think Nylander would be a bad fit for NSH's system and identity and aren't eager to trade for him in the first place. Jeannot being any part of a Nylander trade doesn't hold much interest.

I've already outlined my concerns with Robertson. You haven't presented a counter argument for any of them. I am curious why you think Jeannot having spent time in the ECHL is a strike against him? Who cares what his path to the NHL was? What matters is what he proved he can do in the NHL. You'd think a fan of a team that lost to a minor league zamboni driver wouldn't need to be reminded of that.

I'm saying if Jeannot can have his breakout year at 24 in the NHL, how are you writing off Roberston who has a higher ceiling at 21. Playing in the ECHL is an argument against your comment that Robertson is an AHler when hes 21. Hes small sure, small players cant succeed at the NHL level? not sure if you even saw his injury last year but it was a awkward hit and fall. of course hes gotta prove it but writing the guy off at 21 isnt very bright at all

So small guys can’t have success at the NHL also the guy is 5’9 not 5’2 ffs he’s got a cannon like no other & is very elusive, He’s 21 so calling him a AHL Guy rn is an honestly moronic move imo, when he has shown he can take the step at the NHL Level Robertson looked really good next to JT & Willy last season so why are you calling him Darren Haydar who has less goals than Robertson at an NHL Level. Also

“Do you think Robertson is going to have a growth spurt at 21? He's smaller than the Coyotes' new arena”

you want a list of short NHL Players just to disprove this stupid comment Atkinson,Spurgeon,Arvidsson,Zuccarello,Marchessault,
Marchand,Gaudreau,Debrincat who is even shorter than Robertson

I just don't think Robertson's size, durability, and effort issues could be solved by being the hardest working, most fit guy in the locker room like Jeannot is, or that Robertson has it in him to put forth that kind of effort. Sue me.

Where is this lack of effort or hard work?, the man put on 25 lbs of muscle this offseason to reach 185lbs from 165.

I was just going by what I've seen when he's on the ice - I haven't been following his off season workout regime.

As unrealistic as gaining 25 lbs of muscle in one summer is, it's good to hear Robertson has made some gains. However much it actually is, it'll help.
