Do you see a LD/RD next to Hagues name? The answer is no. So he's strictly a LD.

The need for right side defensemen, especially those that are right handed, is very high. In my opinion, you need at least 2 right handed dmen in your lineup, so even if Hague could play the right, it wouldn’t be a good option. While the leafs want to dump Holl, they should keep him or acquire another right handed defenseman. Only having one is not going to work especially if injuries happen.

Cap Friendly isn't always accurate with LD/RD and with the wings. Robertson played the entire second half of the year last year as a RW in the AHL and he is only listed as a LW on here. (this is one example but there are many more)

The Leafs understand the value of a RHD and that Holl isn't nearly as bad as people think. You see on here a lot of people who want to dump Holl and throw someone in there who has about a 5% of working out because "well I irrationally hate Holl and I want a fast goal scoring winger there who's perfect on D." Yeah well I want an English speaking purple haired monkey who can fill in for me at work, but we can't always get what we want.
