I hope not. Losing Copp and Stastny and replacing them with who?? Barron and Gagner?? I guess there is now more ice time for Perfetti and maybe a guy like Gus gets a shot, but yikes!!! jets only got worse this summer.
I think there is still a move to be made at F. A team that needs to get under the cap maybe or just create a little space. Kerfoot, Foegle, Smith, Dvorak (i would like this)

Cut the roster down to 22 by removing the three cheapest forwards and the cheapest defenseman and you have more than enough cap space to bring in Alex Kerfoot, who would be a good linemate for Lowry and Appleton and probably wouldn't cost you more than a third, given Toronto's need to cut cap. The questions are: (1) is Winnipeg on Kerfoot's ten-team no-trade list, and (2) do you want him?

I just put in 8/9 defenseman/15 forwards for depth purposes, I’m not sure this squad has a chance unless they go depth vs skill, heads up with colorado or st.Louis could be awful if they stack two lines and a Lowry line. So definitely a need for either a 1rw or 1lw to top up the top 6. Don’t believe they grow on trees though. With that much cap I wonder a dvorak/drouin/Hoffman adventure or debacle could be interesting. I’m hoping there’s some moose ready to steal some gigs and make this one competitive camp.

I hope there is something coming, this squad needs some more amo, especially scoring depth to compete with central.

Oh, I understood completely why you had 26 men on the roster -- to show everyone whom you think at this point could possibly get significant playing time this season. I was just making the financial point that there's more cap space than the bottom line shown in the upper-right-hand corner.

I actually kind of like the way it is stacked up here, would be asking a ton for Appleton/harkins/barron, probably not enough patience or immediate success to run them out that way for too long. Maybe split time between barron/Gus between ehlers and perfetti, and perfetti get sometime in the middle and ease him in. Would be nice if perfetti is sure fire number 1 line and light the world up with Dubois and conner, but the best guy for that role at the moment might be Appleton and a little bit of everything. Harkins could be a interesting player beside scheifele and wheeler, physical and decent skating, hopefully some scoring showing up. But pressures to have immediate success, probably jumps up ehlers and perfetti to top two lines before the game even ends. Will be a interesting year.

Its definitely a team that needs a bottom six overhaul, a better top D pair wouldn't hurt either.
