Not my favourite team just to clarify. I just feel like they will be at the top of the pacific.

May have started out as a rough summer losing Gaudreau. But they have rebounded well.

So starting out with the forward core. They are still insanely good with a mix and match of offence and defence. But mostly that top 6 can still compete so well. Huberdeau has been very consistent over the past few seasons and can do very well in Calgary. Adding Kadri as the new 2C is a very great add and one I didn’t think was going to happen but it did. Now I’m not sure if he’ll be PPG Kadri again but if he gets around that same kind of production Calgary will be fine. The bottom 6 looks like a Darryl Sutter type of bottom 6 for sure. Physical hard working two way players and hard to play against. If Pelletier were to make the team, some offensive production would depend on how he performs but I still like the bottom 6 though

In the name of Gordie’s elbow that defence though. I really would not have expected Weegar to be added to that defence core. Sutter was probably dancing after that Tkachuk trade and seeing who he’d have on his blueline. Insane. High levels of defence from them with good levels of offence as well. It’s gotta be top 3 blueline team in the league to me.

Goaltending has looked really solid. Markstrom has looked great and they have a top 10 goaltending tandem for sure

As said, 1st in the Pacific is where I see them. They have such an insanely good team built for success. Would just be hoping they don’t choke like they did last season. If they don’t want a Pelletier on the team yet there’s still a few UFAs to keep a track on.
