I mean I can’t wait to see Picard errrr Foudy (😏)and I think we do see him this year but given that for 3 years Bednar has raved about Bowers in camp and he hasn’t gotten a single call up I wouldn’t be shocked if he didn’t. That being said love Foudy’s speed and motor and think he is an NHLer.

I wonder how differently Foudy would be rated by fans if he'd have played and dominated juniors for another year instead of heading to the AHL early. His speed alone should earn him some opportunities with the Avs, maybe as soon as this season.

On a related note, his brother Liam Foudy will probably be going on waivers and would be an interesting waiver claim in a few weeks.

Good points. The DNVR podcast made a very good point of wondering why the Avs struggle to develop role playing forwards and they speculated that part of the reason was because guys are playing different roles in the AHL than what they with the Avs. Waiver claims are a favorite of the Avs.

Dylan Sikura is a 70pt AHL 1st line player, and the Avs put him on the 4th line; not a position to succeed Except one game he played 2nd line and got a nice assist. Same with Maltsev, except he never got on a top two line. Same w Megna.

You got old Craig Billington running the AHL team forever and ever. He was an old school, standup goalie that strikes me as a Yes man; nothing revolutionary in his hockey mindset

Kaut was drafted just a few spots away from Foudy and is in the same boat. I made a roster wondering if there was a Kaut-Foudy trade possibility. With Texier out now, perhaps CLB sees a fit?
