What would you want for Jeannot?

i dont think NSH would play both tolvanen and jeannot on the fourth though, but im not the coach or GM so i dunno

If Foegele had 1 year left I’d do it, but I don’t want that contract on the books when they need to re-sign Jeannot, Carrier, and Fabbro in 2023.

Yeah, we’ve got pretty good depth. Tolvanen is probably on his way out, but Jeannot and Foegele are pretty interchangeable lineup-wise.

Something like Sissons. 3.5x4-5. Little higher though for sure.

I bet Granlund gets moved before Johansen— easier to move and they’ll actually get value back. Hopefully Glass proves he can be an NHLer this season so that it doesn’t hurt as much if Granlund (or Johansen) gets moved.

You’re probably right. The reason why I figure Joey’s out, though, is cap. If Carrier, Fabbro and Jeannot want around 3-4, moving Johansen gives more flexibility. Especially if Glass gets better — contract year for him too.

Figure both Fabbro and Carrier cost around 8 mil total plus need more for a backup and then like 5 or so roster guys that’s probably like 10-15 million without Jeannot in there

Ingram can back up. The McDonagh trade was a pretty big mistake IMO, but you’re right. Even so, I figure Jeannot is at the top of the re-sign list for the Preds. Maybe we’ll move out Fabbro instead at the draft or the TDL.

Agreed, but the McDonagh trade kinda screwed us cap-wise. Unless we make a couple major trades, we can’t keep everybody.

Johansen makes sense due to contract but he’s the closest thing we have to a 1C. Unless Duchene can go back to center (hasn’t played center much in Nashville) or glass takes a big step up, we just aren’t in a place to trade him. Plus there would likely need sweeteners
