As a putative Kraken fan, you know that Seattle has Schwartz, Burakovsky and McCann at LW and Gourde, Wennberg and the two potential superstars at C, all on the books for several seasons, so there's no real need to rent Kerfoot. And looking down the road, of those 5 players, if there's any one of them that the Kraken might be interested in re-signing after this season, it's odds-on to be Soucy. So that deal does nothing for the Kraken except use up cap space this year and next.
