A bit of a gamble that Stanley has a good year to warrant that raise. He played well in 20-21 mainly in sheltered 3rd-pairing minutes, but he wasn't very effective when he had to play higher in the lineup due to injuries. Last season, he just looked out of place no matter where he played and was passed on the depth chart by Samberg.

He's from Windsor Ontario, Canada across from Detroit. But he spent most of his childhood playing around the Detroit area in the youth hockey leagues.
