Yeah because Calgary was badly in need to get some cash out quickly otherwise they wouldn't have received a first to get Monahan. Also the fact Price will probably miss all the season and be on LTIR save 10m which permit Hughes to accept the 6.3m of Monahan for this year. Next move is probably to give contract to Dach and Primeau and if there still money available try to get a veteran RHD to help with the young group in defense.
